Cody Panthaphim

Vice Chair

Hello there! I am Cody Kit Panthaphim and I was named after an American cowboy: Buffalo Bill. To be more accurate I was named after his only son, Kit Cody Carson, who died at the age of six.... thanks dad. Anyways, I am the Vice Chair of UMN's student chapter of IEEE. Ever since high school, the idea of creating something from nothing always fascinates me. From spinning gears to electrical current, I find myself wanting to learn more and more about the world of engineering. Hence, I was drawn to the great doors of Keller Hall and IEEE. Although I have not been with IEEE for too long, I am excited to help lead in our technical, academic, and career orientated endeavors.

Academics and formalities aside, there are somethings I enjoy such as "Magic: the Gathering." I will admit I have spent more than enough on these expensive cutouts of cardboard and, despite the woes of my wallet, I will continue to do so. Besides MTG, I have lightly dabbled into bass and guitar and would like to explore the world of archery. Other than that, my main goal in life is to simply learn. After all, there is an endless pool of things to do and appreciate out in this world.
