My name is Eloisa, and I'm a junior majoring in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science. Outside of school, I volunteer as a FTC robotics mentor at my old high school. My hobbies also include various arts and crafts, playing video games, and reading dystopian fiction.
I have been with IEEE for a semester, mainly helping with outreach events for FTC and Rooted in STEM. The work was geared towards encouraging students in high school to explore STEM-related careers.
My goal is to work on more EE-related projects outside of coursework, because I saw how valuable that hands-on experience was for my internship this past summer. While I knew how to make some things work, there was a learning curve with designing what I wanted things to do at the same time. I hope to be able to share that with people looking to join IEEE and help facilitate events that provide that experience!
