Hey, I’m Thomas, a second year student in CSE, and my intended major is electrical engineering. In high school I played baseball and a little football, so I still enjoy playing catch and lifting in my free time. I also love longboarding and chilling with friends.
Although I am exuberant thinking about engineering and where it will take me, my specific interests are not as well defined. Solar Vehicle Project is definitely interesting, but I haven’t even picked a specific subsystem within electronics yet. That’s why my goal for this year is to have a good understanding of the paths I may want to follow, which I’m sure will be easy to find, considering how IEEE hosts events with industry professionals and facilitates those meetings.
I have only been with IEEE for one school year. I served on the events committee, where we mostly argued about what we were going to eat at the next game night (a great gig for newer members looking to get involved). This year, I am the New Member Coordinator, so think of me as your friendly face at IEEE. I’m very excited to get to work and Go Gophs!
